What's new

New in August 2026

What you can do now that you couldn't before, in plain words. Only real changes, and only ones you can see in the product.

See your subtitles on the video before you download them

Open a subtitles job and you see the lines drawn over the video, right where a player would put them. A line that runs too long, an awkward break, a subtitle over someone's face: you catch it here, not after you have uploaded the file.

Press play and the list follows along, lighting up the line being spoken. Click a time to jump there. Fix the text, and the file you download has the fix.

For a burned-in video you watch the finished video itself, so what you see is what you get.

Filter your library, and clear out the failures in one go

Your library sorts itself now. Filter by transcripts, subtitles or burned-in videos, or by what is still running or has failed, with a count on each.

Clearing out the failures takes three clicks: filter to Failed, select all, delete. And Export works straight from the list on any finished job, subtitles and videos included.

Every job gets its own page

Every job now has its own page and its own address. Refresh, close the tab, open it on your phone: the job is still running, and when it is done the transcript is waiting at the same address.

Where to find it: Every job, the moment you paste a link: the address bar.

A real editor for your transcripts

Open a transcript and the video plays right next to it. Click any word and the video jumps to that moment; as it plays, the current word lights up.

Fix a word right in the text. Rename a speaker, or move a line to the right one. Find and replace fixes a name everywhere at once, and undo works the way you expect.

Words we were less sure about are underlined, so you know where to look first. Everything you fix is saved to your account, so it is there on any device.

Summary, Translate and Ask AI in one place

Summary, Translate and Ask AI now sit in tabs right above the transcript. Get the gist, get it in another language, or ask a question about the video and get an answer with timestamps you can click.

Export from any tab as TXT, DOCX, SRT or VTT, with or without speaker names and timestamps.

We publish our own accuracy

We would rather show you a number than claim one. Every month we run our engine over public speech recordings that come with human-made transcripts, and publish the word error rate for each kind of recording on the Accuracy page.

Transcripts start faster
