The latest YoutubeToText updates: an in-browser subtitle editor with custom burn-in styling, subtitles in up to 10 languages at once, a fresh site design, and a way to send us feedback directly.
Product Update: A Real Subtitle Editor, Subtitles in 10 Languages, and More
We've shipped a lot over the past couple of months. Here's the short version of what's new, in plain terms.
Subtitles in Up to 10 Languages at Once
You can now generate subtitles for a single video in up to 10 languages in one go, instead of running the job over and over for each language. Pick your languages from a simple chip picker, and when the job finishes you get a zip file with every language's subtitle file inside, plus a separate burned (hardcoded) video for each language if you want one.
Your last set of languages is remembered, so repeat jobs are one click.
A Real Subtitle Editor
Subtitles no longer have to be right the first time. Every subtitle and burned-video job now opens in a built-in editor where you can fix a line, adjust timing, or clean up a name the AI misheard, per language, before you download or burn anything.
From the same screen you can:
- Preview exactly how burned-in subtitles will look, with live controls for font size, background, outline, and a transparent-outline option.
- See speaker names directly on each subtitle line.
- Download the result as SRT, WebVTT, or plain TXT, or open it in another subtitle editor first and bring it back.
We also cleaned up a handful of mobile issues along the way, including overflow on iPhone and a vertical-video preview that now shows correctly.
Longer Videos, Faster Pages
The maximum supported video length is now 12 hours, up from 10. We've also cached slow-loading account data so pages like your library and usage numbers load faster, and trimmed down loading-time estimates so the progress screen is more honest about how long a job will actually take.
A Fresh Look and a Feedback Button
The site got a visual refresh, including the pricing section, main menu, and transcribe progress screen. And if something looks off or you have an idea for us, there's now a feedback button right under your transcription results, no need to dig through a contact page to tell us.
